A gin cocktail this time and a little different from the traditional sours, this has no egg white in the ingredient list. It is something most home bartenders can whip up in no time as honey is wide available and with the prevalence of gin, everyone has a bottle.
2 oz London dry gin
.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
.5 oz honey syrup (1:1 ratio of honey to water)
Making the honey syrup is a simple affair with just mixing equal parts water and honey by volume at room temperature. Measure out .5 oz into the shaker tin, another .75 oz of lemon juice followed by the 2 oz of gin. London dry to be truly tasty.
Shake em all up and double strain them into the coupe. Spritz a lemon juice over the surface of the drink, rub it around the rim of the glass and drop it into the drink. There you have it, the bee’s knees cocktail. Perfect for any summer party.
